Artist Statement
As a child, I
have always loved the coloring and decorating objects that seemed dull. As I
put my hands on artworks, I liked to match different colors and add new
imaginations to it. Growing up, I moved my interest into computer/video games,
their designs and creativity were absolutely beautiful.
The background
graphics, way character moves, talks, and interacts with other characters are
amusing as they seem so realistic. The game quickly draws people in, perhaps
because it expresses people's wish and desires for them. Anything can happen in
fiction, what better way is there to have satisfaction? Combined with music,
dialogue, and events, the effect grows even greater. More than a mere
entertainment, a game, to me, is an artwork, providing a new dimension to
socialize and interact with people.
Our lives are deeply in contact with games.
Beside 3D and 2D games, most people would have memories of playing a simple
interactive game such as hide and seek, icebreakers, catch, etc. It is a way
people social and communicates each other. This friendly friend of ours grew
with us, from generation to generation, transforming into different branches.
In the future, it will improve even more, perhaps leading us into 2nd reality.
Currently into the computers and art, I am still on my adventure to walk into the field of unknown, to express my own feelings and creativity. Right now I am standing on top of the horizon of white paper, waiting to be colored in. I am ready to start.
