Sequence Analysis

The first shot of the film uses 180 rule, starting with the background of the scene then focusing on the actors. After the actor walks closer to the scene, the shot jumps to the back of the actor while the actor continues walking. Then the actor stops, and the shot takes low angle medium shot of the actor starting to the camera for a quick second and the shot returns to the previous shot view, this time slightly closer the actors. After some time, the shot jumps back to the front medium shot, followed by a slow motion of the actor. Then the shot switches the view, from third-person to first-person. It takes the shot from a phone's view which the actor holds in order to take a selfie and returns to front medium shot. Finally, the shot jumps to 90 degrees of the previous shot, focusing on the different actor and showing the contrast between the one staying and one walking away. The cuts are made in both continuity editing protocols and montage approach.
